I have been bathing and grooming dogs for show competitions for over 18 years, learning from some amazing professional handlers and groomers along the way. I bring this wealth of experience into my salon every day.
I spent six months working in a large commercial salon, which was both educational and eye-opening. However, I found the expectation to groom eight dogs in eight hours challenging. It made it difficult to build meaningful relationships with clients and give each dog the attention they truly deserve. This rush often impacted the quality of my work and led to frustrations and misunderstandings.
My wish is to take the time to create genuine bonds with both clients and their pets while maintaining the highest quality standards. I am committed to continually growing my grooming skills by attending seminars and participating in grooming competitions.
Hello! I'm Ashley, an ambitious and driven groomer. I thrive on challenges and set professional goals for myself to continually advance in my career. I have been grooming since the early 2000s, focusing on show grooming for a variety of breeds.
I’m always looking for opportunities to improve my skills by attending grooming seminars and trying new techniques. Since opening Topaws Grooming Salon, I am most proud of the improvements I’ve made in body styles and head shapes.
I enjoy engaging with my clients to find the perfect hairstyle that works for their lifestyle and ensures their dog’s comfort.
I started my grooming journey at the age of 13, and it has been a passion of mine ever since. With around 14 years of experience focused on dog shows, I’ve had the joy of working with some incredible breeds. Recently, I’ve taken on the exciting challenge of competing in grooming competitions, pushing myself to grow even more.
While my expertise lies mainly with long double-coated breeds, I’ve been loving the opportunity to explore other coat types and grooming styles, like hand stripping. Each new experience helps me refine my skills and deepen my love for this craft.

Took my dog there for a bath and nail trim. They did an amazing job with him! There were so kind and gentle with him the whole time! They made him smell so good! I can't thanks Topaws enough for making my dog as comfortable as he was! Highly highly recommended!!

I love how patient they are with my young dog and how gentle and reassuring she is with the pups. They made sure it was an unstressful visit and during our second visit, our dog was even more relaxed and allowed them to do a great job.
